Our Geography curriculum at Weston Rhyn aims to inspire pupils’ curiosity and interest to know more about the world and its people - which will remain with them for the rest of their life. Children are encouraged to develop a greater understanding and knowledge of the world, as well as their place in it.

Knowledge, concepts and skills are developed and connections are made and are transferable to other curriculum areas; which can and are used to promote their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.  Learning in Geography opens doors to our children’s immediate community and then in turn broadens their horizons and the connection they have to the people and places of the world around them. They are encouraged to be inquisitive about the natural and human world and are empowered to recognise their combined responsibility and role in securing the future of the planet for generations to come.
